About Us

King’s Enterprises N.V got a call in 2018 from a woman who was a neighbor that occasionally supported a family of 5; a mother and her four children. The mother worked two jobs to support her family as her husband had been accidently shot and killed by the police and received no support from the government. Deeply touched by the story of this mother, we decided to reach out to her.
Upon arrival, we saw an abandoned house surrounded by the forest. A boy came walking towards us and welcomed us into their house; the roof had several holes, so that when it rained, the house would get wet. The kitchen was a two by one meter space with an old stove and almost no food supplies. The stairs were broken as we had to watch where we walked so that none of us would fall. After talking with the mother, we learned that she would work two jobs to provide food and pay for the education of her children. We immediately asked her what we could do to improve her situation. Very shy, she said that she wanted her house renovated. We agreed to that, but asked if she did not need school supplies or if we could help with the education of her children. She did not want all of the help, as we could see that she was a very proud woman.
We knew that there were so many more situations in Suriname and we knew that we needed to help on a bigger scale.
Hence, Action for a better Suriname-Kings Foundation was created.
